The car that Don Johnson drove in the '80s television series Miami Vice was a 1974 Ferrari Daytona Spyder, but the show didn't destroy the real thing. It was restored to its original state and displayed at the Volo Auto Museum in Illinois. The car will be making its debut during the holiday season. However, one question remains: Was Don Johnson's Daytona really a real Ferrari?

Ford Granada Model Mk1/Mk2 in the "Smokey and the Bandit”

In the movie Smokey and the Bandit, a Ford Granada Mk1 is seen being driven by a notorious bandit. This car was based on the Ford Granada and has been made to look antique. The British movie is the basis for the film. The Granada actually was one of these cars.

Austin Mini in "Thelma & Louise"

Thelma and Louise have become a legendary duo in cinema. They quit their roles as domestic workers and take to the road in search of independence and self discovery. Ridley Scott’s 1991 adaptation Callie Khouri’s Oscar winner screenplay is considered a feminist fairytale. But does the Austin Mini really live up to the legend it has become?

The first major role for a GMC G-15 was in the classic film Smokey and the Bandit, which was released in 1976. There were many other stunts in this film, including attaching the booster rocket to the back. Three Trans Ams total were also lost in the end. However, the G-15 is far from being the most outrageous car in this movie.
