John Shaft's Chevelle

John Shaft's Chevelle was a popular character in many films over the years. But none of them were as memorable as his 1971 model. Austin, Austin the car's manufacturer prepared four identical cars in order to film. Some of the films were shot in Atlanta but others were filmed in New York City. Two cars were used for close-ups. The remaining two were used for total destruction.


Tim Story played John Shaft's second role. Although based on a crime novel by Ernest Tidyman, John Shaft is set in crime-ridden Harlem, New York City. How to become a mechanic certified

The mechanic's certifications are designed for people who want to become certified as professional automotive technicians. They cover all aspects of auto repairs including engine diagnostics. Electrical systems. Brakes, suspension. steering. Fuel injection. Air conditioning. Heating. Exhaust. Diagnostic tools. Body repairs. Collision damage repair. Paintless dent removal. Motor vehicle emissions testing.

The program includes 12 hours of classroom instruction as well as three months of training on the job at a participating dealer.
